Berlin: Spotted @ Monarch with Isherwood, Carne & Boum Boum Club

Kottbusser Tor’s sweetest hangout Monarch will shake to a range of sounds on Tuesday June 7th for the first edition of Spotted.

Our buddies from the mighty Wrangelkiez are on curation duties. We’ve learnt to expect high standards on the beautifully strange scale from the best representatives of the Kiez – come prepared.

First up is Isherwood, a synth pop trio formed in Berlin, providers of pure electronic enchentment. Organ player Tim Isherwood is about to unveil his new EP after past touring activites which saw him play alongside the likes of Chinawoman.

Repping the Wrangelkiez for just over a year, Frenchman Carne sounds, on his best days, like a House trip gone wrong. Expect bass pressure, moments of collective unease and some Loleatta Holloway edits.

Closing the lineup is Boum Boum Club a new collaboration which promises everything from the iconic Kitty Yo Records to endless techno. Word on the street is that the mysterious collective consists of BB Kink and Wrangelkiez leading woman Magritte Jaco.

Full information about the night is on the Facebook Event. Doors open at 8pm, Isherwood plays live at 9pm sharp.
