Finally they‘re back! After their sensational debut album „Douze Pouze“ from 2012 the probably slickest band from Germany is back with a new longplayer: Stabil Elite pour you some „Spumante“, as the dandys from Düsseldorf called their new record, which was released on May 13, 2016 via Italic Recordings.
14 new tracks fluctuating between German Schlager, Yacht Pop and a love of experimentation and equipped with a slight note of melancholy clearly show that the trio consisting of Nikolai Szymanski, Lucas Croon and Martin Sonnensberger isn‘t interested in marking time by repeating itself. Instead they leave their safe haven of Krautrock and obvious Kraftwerk-references and orientate themselves towards the late Roxy Music, Kate Bush and further edgy yet sexy 80s pop music.
With a charming self confidence (with lines like „Ich sehe gut aus im Anzug“ / „I look good in a suit“, from „Steppe“) and a sort of wanderlust that longs for having a glass of sparklewine with strawberry sorbet on a sailboat in the sun, Stabil Elite invite you to be part of a chique and exclusive festivity, so get out that polo shirt, put on your yachting shoes and let‘s drink to life, hedonism and Stabil Elite!
Ticket give away: Local Suicide is giving away 1×2 tickets for the record release show of Stabil Elite on May 20 at Bi Nuu at Schlesisches Tor in Berlin-Kreuzberg! The main act will be supported by electro group Die Wilde Jagd , who supported german punk icons Fehlfarben on their last tour and after the concert both bands will be playing a DJ-Set under the moniker of Die Wilde Elite before Jan Schulte (Versatile/ Themes For Great Cities/ Salon Des Amateurs), one of the most sought-after DJs and producers of our time right now, will take over the decks.
