You all already know it, Death From Above 1979 are back with an album release in 2014 The Physical World, a European tour late 2014 that sold out before I (and maybe you too) could buy a ticket… and lucky for us, a second round in bigger venues starting this February!
Here is your chance to win 1×2 tickets to the Berlin concert at Postbahnhof on Thursday March the 5th plus a band T-shirt with a surprise design by telling us what is your fav track on the new album, in the comment section below before March the 1st at midnight.
DFA hit it big with their first album released in 2004 You’re A Woman, I’m A Machine. It was post-punk meets new-pop-metal, it was the most efficient modern rock opus – and it came from Canada, of all places, from a pair of dudes, I mean no media-star material there… so boom there it was, and there it wasn’t when they decided to split up in 2006.
Because their fan base never died out, and probably even grew, unlike their savings one can imagine, Keeler and Grainger decided to have a go at it again. The result? Ten years brought honey and sugar to the mix, the heavy sound is still there but less dry, less definitive – one could say more fun – and definitely more pop-ular as radio-friendly rock goes these days.
More for your ears below and live in seven E-countries coming up soon, save your energy for the show; if the guys are true to their reputation and to what we’ve heard from the last tour, it will be epic!
And from the good old days…
