We’ve all experienced at least one immersive Kreuzberger Nacht at some point in our Berliner nights. Some start off early at Schlesisches Tor, some later, maybe towards Görlitzer, especially on summer days. But they usually end up in a full on dance craze, a bit further near Moritzplatz. This Friday we’re invited to spend it in the company of selected guests from the other side of the pond, alongside usual Prince Charles suspects.
“Telephone Man” Terrence Parker will bring some Deep Detroit Heat, in his usual understated style. Using his trademark telephone headset instead of mixing headphones, Parker masterfully cuts and juggles beats like a true connoisseur. To get a taster, check out his set from last year’s proceedings.
Brooklynite Mandel Turner‘s roots can be instantly heard in his sets. From his early gospel choir days onto becoming an adept of the early 80’s Club Culture, he cites the likes of Larry Levan, Tee Scott, Tony Humphries as big influences of his sound, that branches onto Rock, R&B and Soul. The common denominator? Soulful, heart and feet warming music that you can easily dance to.
We’re giving away 2×2 guestlist spots for the Krezuberger night, to get involved leave a comment with your favourite track or set from one of the artists and don’t forget to join the conversation on RA and Facebook.
