TOYS aka Take Off Your Shows celebrate six years since Berlin collective threw their first party (with the peculiar name „take off your shoes and burn down the vatican“). Along the years. they’ve brought a hefty slew of renowned artists to the stage, like Avalon Emerson, Brame & Hamo, Breach, Christian Löffler, Dairmount, Dauwd, Ejeca, Frits Wentink, Glimpse, Hade, Homework, Huxley, Kidnap kid, Locked Groove, Marquis Hawkes, Shenoda, Throwing Snow, Trikk, Urulu, Tom Demac, xxxy and Youandewan. Some of them will also be joining the anniversary, making it a special night at about:blank.
The night is also meant as a celebration of the release of their third installment of TOYS releases, helmed by label honcho and George FitzGerald protégé ASA 808. Entitled Demise / Regression, the artist delivers two floor ready DJ tools, filled with gnarly analogue synths, impelling percussion and heavy-hitting grooves.
What’s also special about this occasion is that all the proceeds from the ticket sales will go to Sea-Watch initiative, a non-profit that sends civilian sea rescue missions for refugees on the Mediterranean.
