Hailing from Cologne, Benjamin Riedl, Stephan Weinand and Oliver Bersin alias Urban Homes are considered being the top indie band of the town. The trio proves it on their new long-player ‘Jams’ released via Altin Village & Mine, which contains 13 tracks blending indie pop and chillwave with acid synths, soft pads, mellow guitars, Balearic feeling of the washed out 1980s and airy vocals.
‘Jams’ LP, as the name suggests, evolved from long jam sessions, when Urban Homes would plug in and prepare all the instruments and equipment and then each of the members would play around with various instruments, making ‘Jams’ an extraordinary collaborative album. By re-playing and shaping the songs, they eventually evolved into their final versions. This process enabled to capture the magic of collaborative improvisational moments and preserve them on two 12″ records.
Now you have an opportunity to experience this captivating band live on their supporting tour, during which they will visit Berlin 14th December in Salon zur wilden Renate organized by the mighty Perhaps Laboratories
