Channeling on his multi-decade long experience in the scene, electronic music ambassador Steve Bug begins his own PLAY concept series in Berlin’s IPSE. Having grown up in Germany’s techno and acid house heyday, Steve Bug’s love for a perfect groove is as apparent now as it was back then. A true tastemaker and road-opener, his innovative ear led him not down the typical path of the early nineties trance and harder dance scene, but instead towards a fresher, hybrid sound–merging stripped deep house, tweaked out acid and minimal forms of techno and electronic music.
The mise-en-scene also consists of the duo of Brawther and Tristan Da Cunha, aka seasoned selectors Dungeon Meat, who bring raw, meaty house tracks with plenty of groove and character.
Rising Poker Flat and Dessous artist Langenberg will warm things up with up with the kind of lush, timeless house that Steve’s labels are known for. The host himself will play a special set, digging extra deep into his crates for the occasion.
We have 2×2 guestlist spots to giveaway for the night! One of them comes with an extra treat: a goodie bag filled with Steve Bug goodies. To win simply comment your favourite Pokerflat Recordings track and join the event on Facebook. Play on!
