Courtney Barnett is one of Melbourne’s hottest exports right now and she’ll be showing us exactly why that is on 12th April at Heimathafen Neukölln.
After a few years performing with psych-country group Immigrant Union, Barnett then concentrated on her own killer skills and formed the record label, Milk! Records. This year has seen her shift the focus to her solo career with the release of her debut record, Sometimes I Sit and Think and Sometimes I just Sit.
Barnett is known for her transcendent, witty lyrics that include sharp quips and hilarious put downs. An excellent storyteller, she manages to brighten up the mundane thanks to her funny take on every day life. Oh, and did I mention she’s got guitar melodies nailed?
We’ve got 2×2 tickets to give away to the upcoming gig, so if you fancy seeing the fantastic Courtney Barnett at Heimathafen-Neukölln, let us know in the comments below!
Support on the night comes from fellow Aussie Fraser A. Gorman.
