It’s fair to say that it’s been a while since France has witnessed so astounding a take off for an artist.
25 year old Fishbach, originating from Charleville-Mézières in Les Ardennes, home to Arthur Rimbaud, has been the name on everyone’s lips, fascinating and troubling all of those who come across her. Emerging in 2015 with a self-titled EP that revealed a unique voice, both deep an incantatory, a gentle whipser and a rugged chant, it was the singles Y Crois Tu and particularly Un Autre Que Moi that carried her to the front of the stage, her music channeling the best of 80s French pop with thirty five years of self conscious sanding down, her stage presence a charismatic mix of Kate Bush and Ian Curtis.
With a seemingly never ending French tour under her belt, the young artist and her band are now setting their sights further afar with a German tour which brings them through Köln, Berlin at Frannz Club on Tuesday February 27th (BUY TICKETS), Hamburg, Frankfurt and Karlsruhe.
Watch the videos for recent single Eternité, and Local Suicide favorite Un Autre Que Moi below and cop Fishbach’s debut album on Bandcamp.
On support, Berlin’s Beranger will deliver his Mauerpark-patented classical meets grunge, with ample dexterous piano work, deep and vibrant voice, and the most valid man bun this side of the Spree.
We’re delighted to be giving away four tickets for the concert. To take part in the competition, simply email win @ localsuicide . com with Fischbach in the subject line. Winners will be notified in due time.
