Aja, Opal Tapes, Perc Trax (live on Friday 27 at Urban Spree):
“I’m looking forward to seeing Eomac and Mary Ocher.
I have drawn so much inspiration from Krake’s previous festivals which have helped shaped my sound as it is today – I also can’t wait to showcase my collaboration with AV artist Rupert Earl with our AV sound installation as part of the performance!”
Chloe Lula, Aufnahme + Wiedergabe (Friday 27 at Urban Spree):
“The two acts I’d like to see the most: Nene H and Years of Denial.
And in general, the label market is probably one of my favorite parts of the festival—it’s one of the few times of year where some of the city’s best underground music comes together in one place (and where I can buy ALL of their records!)”
Tamypro, Universe of Tang (Friday 27 at Urban Spree):
“Who I want to see the most, Alienata b2b REKA. I’ve been wanting to see both of them play for a while as their mixes have been very inspiring. Both of them together is just perfect for me! And Eomac: I’m very excited to see his new AV- show, the trailers look very promising.
About the festival, Krake has already been on my radar before I moved in Berlin. The line-up and program always made me curious and I’m super excited to now see it all happening right in front of me.”
Kaltès, Eotrax (Friday 27 at Urban Spree):
Who are the two acts you would like to see the most?
Why only 2? I have to cheat on this question, sorry. The entire Eotrax’s showcase is just too good. And I am not saying that because Nene H. and I released an EP on Eotrax a few months ago and it is our home label. I mean, look at this line up, seriously! Most of my favorite artists on one same bill. Nene H., Eomac and Paula Temple who is just joining the label… How exciting!
Otherwise, I am really interested in Zoe Mc Pherson and Alessandra Leone present “String Figures” live a/v show. Zoe and Alessandra are artists I know and follow since years and this collaboration is more than promising. This is one performance not to be missed!
And why you are excited about the festival?
Krake is a reference in Berlin’s cultural landscape. To me, Krake means years of beautifully curated programming and solid work. I can only look forward!
João Pais, MNM feat Humatic & Mieko Suzuki (Monday 23, Opening at Silent Green)
“I look forward the most to seeing Andrea Belfi at the pre-opening, and to the whole program on the Friday at Urban Spree. Both events have a line-up with interesting artists, and also a good variety with diverse acts. It will be nice to see different contents, as usually I’m involved only with contemporary music or electronic improvisation…”
