Yan Wagner, Arnaud Rebotini’s protégé, was revealed in 2011 by his track Recession Song, released on the compilation Kitsuné Parisien. But amateurs of cold wave and electronic pop could have seen him before playing as a guest in Midnight Juggernauts’ or Hercules and Love Affair’s concerts. This fan of vintage synthesizers worked hard on his first album, Forty Eight Hours, to create a new sound, influenced by 1980’s and 2010’s tones, without being classified in a unique category. This album was released last year, and Changed is one of my favorite tracks of it. Enjoy the French sound!
