One of my favourite designers, Mihara Yasuhiro (his website is actually pure pleasure, especially when you click on the video link) from Japan recently came up with his A/W 2011/12 collection. What I like about him and the new collection is his love for contrast, the different weaving techniques and, in terms of style, his tribute to the Beat Generation. When you look at Yasuhiro´s fashion you can easily see the expressionist lifestyle of Allen Ginsberg and William S. Burroughs. The creation of new silhouettes derived from classic styles were apparent, as well as the ability to inject his own take on cable knitted pieces.
