Festivals: Exit Festival 10th – 14 July 2013

EXIT-Festival-2013Exit is an amazing summer music festival which first took place in 2000. It is situated in the 18th century Petrovaradin Fortress of Novi Sad, by the Danube, in Serbia. The initial idea came from three University students from Novi Sad and as soon as it started it rapidly expanded in status and fame.  During all these years Exit has been renowned and has even been awarded as the Best European Festival (by the UK Festival Awards 2007 and Yourope – the Association of the 40 largest festivals in Europe).

Its Main Stage with a massive capacity of over 35.000 people becomes a place of inexhaustible and genuine power through the interaction of some of the most famous and world-acclaimed artists and the energetic audience. Its mission is to retain a wide diversity welcoming performers of all music genres. Besides the most popular performers, it also inaugurated great electronic acts in the After 2AM sessions, prolonging the party till early morning hours. Except for the Main Stage there are 6 more stages full of acts worth seeing which are the Dance Arena, Explosive Stage, the Fusion Stage, the Suba Stage, the Happynovisad Stage and the Elektrana Stage plus the Exit Village, a meeting party place for Exit visitors, at a marvelous spot, on the Oficirac beach of the Petrovaradin Danube bank.
