In 1971 Paul McCartney and his wife Linda released Paul’s second album after The Beatles broke up. The title of this wonderful album was Ram. 40 years later Portland’s music genius Dave Depper, who has played throughout the years with bands like Mirah, the Decemberists, Musee Mecanique etc sits at home for 31 days and records his own RAM version, called The RAM Project. Even the cover of the album is just a rework of the original, but instead of the sheep that Paul is holding, Dave is just holding a cat. Beau Raymond (Devendra Banhart, Little Joy, Laura Gibson) does the mixing and Tony Lash (Elliott Smith, Death Cab for Cutie, Dandy Warhols) the mastering and here you go! You get an album that even Paul would be proud of. Download Dear Boy, a super melodic track, for free!
