Michael Ruris first received his inspiration early in the 90’s from going to house parties. His productions are inspired by Chicago house and tech-house. The latest release is the ninth release of San Francisco’s house music label Handmade Recordings.
“For me, producing music is a lot like painting, with colors and textures, shapes and layers, depth and perspective”, as the artist himself explains.
Michael does paint a good picture for house music in this EP, and takes a minimalistic and yet modern twist on the classic acid sound.
