From the ruins of the Soviet empire emerges sound assassin Proxy. In 1997 he attended the legendary Prodigy concert at Moscow’s Red Square and was determined ever since to make people go crazy to aggressive beats. 2007 welcomed the release of his breakthrough dance floor hit “Raven“. Since then he has been playing gigs and festivals all over the world and making remixes for respected artists like Peaches, Prodigy, Tiga, Boys Noize, Chromeo, Digitalism, Moby and many others, as well as working on his own material in the relative isolation of his hometown Vladivostok, situated in the east of Russia and very close to North Korea and Japan.
The result of all this? “Music From The Eastblock Jungles“. An over 20 tracks masterpiece that includes the best tunes from his back catalogue as well as new creations. Proxy’s debut full length album will be released on Tiga‘s imprint Turbo Recordings and on Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak in the USA.
