The Japanese electronics giant Pioneer has been providing the international club standard for almost 2 decades with their CD/USB Player- (CDJ) and DJ Mixer-series (DJM). Since a few years they are also bundling their own DJ software Rekordbox with their own DJ controllers  from their DDJ series.

With the DDJ 400 DJ Controller they have now introduced the perfect controller for beginners or DJ’s who need a simple home setup to record mixes, test tracks etc as not everyone has the space or budget to afford their full set up (2x CDJ NXS2k + 1x DJM 2k cost around 6,5-7k EUR). The 2 channel mixer are arranged the same way as the pricier versions and comes with a free licence key of Rekordbox plus a new tutorial mode which quickly teaches the basics of digital mixing.

The integrated sound card and USB bus powering make connecting the mixer super easy and due to its low weight (2,1kg) it’s easy to carry around to friends’ houses to practise together or to be brought to parties and small venues to perform.

Another great feature is that you can now upload your mixes directly to Mixcloud, YouTube or KUVO from Rekordbox which will automatically add the track names and song infos to your mix so that you don’t have to manually export them. You can order the new mixer from your local dealer or web shops like Musicstore, Musikhaus Korn or Just Music.
