Introducing: Kezokichi/Blindetonation

Japan’s sound is always intriguing and peculiar. Especially when it comes to electronic music. And Kezokichi is no exception from the rule.

Kezokichi Miyazaki comes from Tokyo, Japan, and while living for a while in London, he made a name for himself thanks to his own “Back 2 Back” events, described by Time Out as “a darn killer party”. He already shared the decks with well-known artists like Boys Noize and Alex Metric, and early this year he will tour Europe and Mexico.

On his facebook page, his style is described as slow-mo dark disco, which sums it up perfectly. Not too harsh yet not too slow, just the right amount of bass to stir up a party.

You can listen here to a remix for Tronik Youth, dark, melodic and leaving you wanting more:

Now back in Tokyo, his label Blindetonation will be launching this year in February with a compilation featuring names like Club Bizarre, Tronik Youth, Duncan Gray and Mange-Moi. And if you want to get a glimpse of what to expect from his label, give a listen to this mix he made for deathmetaldiscoclub:

Make sure you follow him on Soundcloud or Twitter, if you don’t want to miss his upcoming shows.
