We’ve been huge fans of the Russian music scene since ages for producers such as Moralez, Dimitri Veimar, Philipp Gorbachev & Simple Symmetry among others. Our latest discovery is Andrei Orlov from Moscow who is releasing an incredible debut EP ‘Invisible Processes’ via Opilec Music on May 1, 2017.
Trained as a classical guitarist who gained prominence with various indie bands before turning to a love of synthesisers. He has built up a fine body of remix work and is the author of several re-edits of forgotten Soviet funk and disco gems. Inspired by the ‘70s and ‘80s, he takes inspiration from krautrock and European pop, synth rock and early techno, and loves a really powerful melody.
We are exclusively premiering his slow-mo italo disco tune ‘Wheel Of Optimism‘ which is the perfect soundtrack for any 80s arcade video game. Listen below!
