Ken Karter could very well be one of Berlin’s most influential artists in the techno scene, and you probably don’t even know it. Known for his mastering skills, his own work had gone largely unnoticed until his 2015 EP on Stroboscopic Artefacts’ Monad series. Studying classical music from a young age and then progressing to the more experimental side of music, all combined with his work at M_REC LTD, it comes as no surprise that Karter is gaining recognition and influencing folk within the scene and further afield.
Fast forward to 2017, and to the cryptically titled yet brilliant EP – DSX_ENV_00. Set to be released on Escapism, his latest offering combines his love of mathematical elements and a seemingly infinite knowledge of sound to create something that will surely appeal to the usual suspects and a wider audience in turn.
