You come back from a night out, clothes soaked in smoke and hopeless dreams. You end your day while others start theirs. As you enter your room, the light coming through the windows makes you wonder if you need to cover them, to prolong a little more that intoxicated foggy sadness which seems to have taken over each step you make. You need to postpone the inevitable silence lurking around your room, so you play some music. This is post-club music, that music speaking to your inner most crippling self, in need of a confirmation that the pain you feel is real. This is the music Emmecosta creates.
Emmecosta is a Gothenburg based trio, namely Claudio Pallone, Alfonso Fusco, and Aldo Axha, all 3 originally from Italy, but who’s life path met at a crossroad in Sweden, where their creativity, both musically and visually, flourished and grew together into what we have today as Emmecosta.
Back in January, the trio released their EP Untied, which contains the original track Snowboy. The breaking new outfit Post Pines comes now with a remix of this track, adding a new layer of melancholy to it, and molding it at the same time into a more clubby vibe. The remix keeps the original narrative, but the dreamy melody is replaced by colder percussion, while still creating that brooding post-club atmosphere specific to Emmecosta’s vision. The remix is out on March 11, and you can give it a listen here, exclusively on Local Suicide.
