Chloé has been shaping the path of electronic music for the past twenty years and thankfully she shows no signs of slowing down. She has most certainly been keeping herself very busy; among others djing in some of the world’s most renowned venues, running her own eclectic label Lumière Noire, composing the film score for Lidia Terki’s feature Paris La Blanche, revisiting Steve Reich for the “Variations” series for France Télévisions and releasing killer tunes on influential labels such as Kill The Dj, My Favorite Robot and BPitch. After a seven year wait, 2017 will see the release of her third full length album Endless Revisions and we’re already excited. We thought that this would be the perfect timing to have her for our LSD Faze Time, which you can read below and find out more about her. If you happen to be in Berlin next week on Saturday September 9th, make sure to come to Chalet, where we will be djing alongside the French wonderwoman.

My name is Chloé Thevenin but you might know me as Chloé. I was born in Paris and grew up in Paris. When I was a child my idol was Albator, because he had a scar. When I was young, I started to listen to my father s record collections. It was then when I realised that I loved music and decided to play guitar. Since then I am still into music.

One of the best gigs I played was at club Robert Johnson. It was so much fun: soundsystem is good and crowd is cool.
One of the best gigs I have been to was a concert by my friends Nova Materia. I loved their radicality.

Now I live in Paris with my little family. In my house you can find tones of vinyls and my refrigerator is usually full with food. I enjoy it as I hate when it s empty and I like to cook a lot. I can spend hours reading. One of my favorite places to visit is Biarritz, south of France, because of the sea and the mountains.

On weekdays I am in the studio and on weekends I usually go on tour.

My favorite song at the moment is the latest record of Rhys Chatham. A film I watched lately and really liked was La jetée by Chris Marker. The last series I watched and loved was Ozark.

I am very inspired by what I see, what I hear & what I feel. My dream is to climb Himalaya. My worst nightmare is to eat bad food.

I love good coffee and hate beer. I am addicted to good coffee, I just cannot stop drinking it. I get totally fucked up, when I never get fucked up (anymore). The next day I need to wake up early.

Local Suicide reminds me of a love story.

Tomorrow I will go in the studio. Next month I will be in the studio. Next year I will be in the studio. In 10 years I hope to still go in a studio.

If I wasn’t a dj, I would be a barista. If my life was a Hollywood movie, I‘d be angry to put all this make up, because this is the way it has to be. If I could have sex with anyone, it would be my little secret.
If I was a car, I would be one with a sun roof as I m sick in cars. If I was an animal, I would be  a cat. If I was a drug I would be none. If I was an invention, I would be a big house for refugees. If I was an object, I would be a motocycle to travel. If I could date myself, I would fall totally in love.

If I could play with anyone it would be very surprising even to me. I would like to collaborate with someone really cool.

If I had only one wish, it would be to have more time in one day.

I would never wake up earlier, because I can’t wake up earlier.

My word of advice to the reader would be: don’t trust everything I just said.
