jf7 joe farrJoeFarr is an upcoming British dj and producer. Over the past years he has achieved much praise and recognition through his releases (his debut album “Sense Of Purpose” released on Bloc and a number of killer EPs and remixes on labels such as Leisure System, Turbo Recordings, DSNT Records and more) and playing at some of the world’s best clubs and festivals, so we are very happy he took the time to fill in our “test” quoting him.

My name is Joe but you might know me as JoeFarr. I was born in Gloucester and grew up in the middle of nowhere. When I was a child my idol was Dave Mirra, because he could do anything on a BMX. When  I was 14, I started to play bass guitar. It was then when I realised that I was shit at bass guitar and decided to stop playing bass guitar. Since then I never picked up a bass guitar again..

One of my best gigs I played was Verona..It was so much fun I played a mental live set and the crowd got it and Headless Horseman and Ossian were in the Booth going nuts..

One of the best gigs I have been to was Ed Rush and Optical in Newcastle Upon Tyne.. I loved IT.

Now I live in the middle of nowhere with my fucking amazing wife and two above average children.. In my house you can find us when we are here and my refrigerator is usually full with chilled goods. I enjoy eating them and not feeling guilty a lot. I can spend hours making music (predictable I KNOW). One of my favorite places to visit is the pub, because it is very rare that I get to go to the pub.

On weekdays I do more tings than I should be able to and on weekends I usually do the same.

My favorite song at the moment is A max cooper remix of Spectate.. Out soon on Leisure System. The last series I watched and loved was Peaky Blinders.

I am very inspired by my brain. My dream is to stop caring what people think. My worst nightmare is  unthinkable. I love acceptance and hate bravado. I am addicted to making music, I just cannot stop making music. I get totally fucked up, when I don’t make music. The next day I need to not listen to the music I made.

Local Suicide reminds me of a test.

Tomorrow I dig. Next month I have a record coming out. Next year I will finish my second album. In 10 years I hope to be comfortable, I need a new chair.

If I wasn’t a musician, I would be a bore.

If my life was a Hollywood movie,  the movie would be shit, but the rock would have the main role, because he’s actually quite funny. If I could have sex with anyone, it would be once a week.

If I was a car, I would be a porche 968. If I was an animal, I would be a Unicorn. If I was a drug I would be mild. If I was an invention, I would be fairly useful. If I was an object, I would be a beautiful one. If I could date myself, I would.

If I could play with anyone it would be fucking awesome. I would like to collaborate with Clark. If I had only one wish, it would be predictable. I would never forget where I came from, because then I’d be lost.

My word of advice to the reader would be to: one word is a bit difficult… but If I had to give just one word it would be.. ‘enjoy’.
