Pisetzky is an upcoming Dj and producer from Milan, the fashion capital of Italy. No wonder he started off as a sound engineer for the fashion industry. At the end of 2014 he decided it was time to move on and start releasing his productions and djing all over the globe. His next release is the techno bomb ‘Elevation‘ out on March 18th 2016 on fellow Milanese Hunter/Game‘s Just This imprint. Read about his love for synths, Jim Morrison, his crib and music and listen to his amazing tunes below.
My name is Fabiano Valli but you might know me as Pisetzky. I was born and grew up in Milan. When I was a child my idol were the Ninja Turtles, because they love Pizza. When I was a DJ/Producer in the Fashion System, I started to get bored by the constriction of my freedom of creativity. It was then when I realised that I should stop making music for Brands and companies and making music for myself and decided to do techno and all kinds of music that come through my feelings.. Since then I stayed years in studio searching my personal sound until I found it..
One of the best gigs I played was at ADE for Life and Death. It was so much fun because we were in Amsterdam first of all, and we were all there, friends, reunited, and high and it ended up After partying hardcore after the gig in a sort of crane.
One of the best gigs I have been to was at Burning Man in 2011. I loved everything, the vibe the people, the feelings, the nirvana..
Now I live in Milan with my synths. In my house you can find 50 shades of grey, not the book but grey everywhere from the floors to the wall and furniture, antiques and a speaker in every corner, on the ground floor my studio and Just This and Social Music City headquarters and my refrigerator is usually full with pizza. I enjoy my house, cause it is not only a house but a point of aggregation, a place where artists can meet relax chill and make music at the same time and this keep me continuously inspired a lot. I can spend hours making music in my studio, I do it in the free time too, actually, I never get out of that loft.. One of my favorite places to visit is Mexico, Tulum, because there I lived a sort of rebirth of my spirit and soul. Nature, the vibes and atmosphere in Tulum makes it such a mystical journey..
On weekdays I wake up early, dedicate few hours of mails and socials, and then I start making music or research till late night when I usually party or take some rest and on weekends I usually travel around for gigs.
My favorite song at the moment is Andy Stott – Violence. A film I watched lately and really liked was Straight Outta Compton. The last series I watched and loved was Narcos.
I am very inspired by visions, people, new cultures, new experiences everything that gives me some kind of emotion. My dream is to buy a synth a day. My worst nightmare is someone stealing my synths.
I love synths and hate synths. I am addicted to synths, I just cannot stop playing synths. I get totally fucked up, when I party with my girl, she’s the devil. The next day I need to rehab for another day.
Local Suicide reminds me of how damaged am I.
Tomorrow I will make music. Next month I’ll be touring around. Next year I hope I’ll tour more. In 10 years I hope a hologram of me will tour so I can stay home and take the cash.
If I wasn’t a DJ, I would be a weed tester. If my life was a Hollywood movie, it would be The Doors, because ”I believe in a long prolonged derangement of the senses to attain the unknown… Although I live in the subconscious, our pale reason hides the infinite from us.” same of Jim.. If I could have sex with anyone, it would be Edie Sedgwick.
If I was a car, I would be a Porsche 356 A Speedster 1600 S T1. If I was an animal, I would be a greyhound. If I was a drug I would be weed, definitely weed, i love weed, i would marry weed.. If I was an invention, I would be Orgasmatron. If I was an object, I would be a Dhyangro, a shaman drum which sound recalls the primordial memories and awakens the dormant emotions deeply embedded in the unconscious… If I could date myself, I would break up with me really soon.
If I could play with anyone it would be Ron Hardy back in the days.. I would like to collaborate with Ryuichi Sakamoto.
If I had only one wish, it would be to make a home studio in a palafitte on the caribbean sea.
I would never live under certain society constrictions, because I’m a free soul.
My word of advice to the reader would be to buy records, my records :).
