We are very happy to see women like Rebekah in the techno scene. A beauty, really interesting woman playing bad ass techno. It’s not a coincidence she just joined the CLR family, Chris Liebing’s imprint. She recently released her first mix “Reconnected 3” on CLR featured Chris Liebing, Traversable Wormhole, Function, Tommy Four Seven, James Ruskin, Lucy and more and her album is also coming soon. Find out more about her in this intimate interview!

My name is Rebekah but you might know me as errr Rebekah. I was born in Birmingham and grew up in Birmingham. When I was a child my idol was my grandaddy, because he spoilt me rotten! When  I was sweet sixteen, I started clubbing. It was then when I realised that I must DJ and decided to save for some turntables. Since then I have gigged beyond my wildest dreams.

One of my best gigs I played was at Tomorrowland. It was so much fun due to stage diving, Function 1 and boob flashing and was more like a rock n roll gig than a techno party!

One of the best gigs I have been to was to see the RHCP.. I loved it due to how amazing they are as a band, how much energy they have and err more stage diving!

Now I live in Berlin with two lovely German guys. In my house you can find  my project studio and tumble dryer and my refrigerator is usually full with …just full….we like to eat here!  I enjoy cycling, jogging, movies, reading and djing techno music a lot. I can spend hours making beats and getting lost within my techno world. One of my favorite places to visit is Hong Kong, because it has an energetic city and a relaxing beach plus lots of awesome shopping.

On weekdays I am generally at home working on music and on weekends I usually  can be found in clubs around Europe or on a dance floor in Berlin.

My favorite song at the moment is Trade – Works The Long Nights. A film I watched lately and really liked was 7 Psychos. The last series I watched and loved was ….shiiiieeeeeet…. The Wire.

I am very inspired by the people I meet on my travels. My dream is to climb Machu Picchu. My worst nightmare is  never having chocolate again.

I love spirituality and hate negative people.

I am addicted to Walkers Shortbread, I just cannot stop laughing at Will Ferrells movies!

I get totally fucked up, when I get sick. The next day I need to eat like a horse..but not a horse, thank you very much!

Local Suicide reminds me of good times and sunshine!

Tomorrow I will be listening to music for the weekend. Next month I will be visiting Miami and Colombia. Next year I will hopefully have my album ready. In 10 years I hope I will still be as happy as I am today.

If I wasn’t a DJ, I would be a Psychologist.

If my life was a Hollywood movie,  Juliette Lewis would have the main role, because she kicks ass in Natural Born Killers and rocks with her band Juliette and the Licks. If I could have sex with anyone, it would be my sweet yet sexy boyfriend.

If I was a car, I would be a black Renault Clio sport. If I was an animal, I would be a miniature Doberman. If I was a drug I would be savlon antiseptic cream, spread it on it makes you feel better. If I was an invention, I would be a grapefruit knife, totally pointless but makes life that little bit easier (only when eating grapefruits though). If I was an object, I would be a mango, a bit tough on the outside but sweet on the inside. If I could date myself, I would probably go insane.

If I could play with anyone it would be fellow Birmingham DJ, Surgeon. I would like to collaborate with Blawan.

If I had only one wish, it would be for everyone to release their fear and live their lives to the fullest.

I would never be caught dead taking drugs, because life is for living.

My word of advice to the reader would be to live each day as if its your last..enjoy!
