LSD FAZE TIME: Ron Flatter

The german producer & DJ Ron Flatter is back with his new album ‘Muscle Of Synths‘ (order here) on his own label Pour La Vie Records. Marking seven years since his debut album ‘Growth Rings‘ this release draws up his 15 year artistry as he articulates all of the energy, driving groove and melody into a thrilling ten track journey. We are happy that he found the time to answer our FAZE TIME questionaire which you can read below!

After a lot of releases, I wanted to do something coherent that is not picked to pieces by different labels. The album is for me a cross section of my work of the last two-three years. I meander with the album through the music genres that I really like and also play myself, you can hear techno, trance and 80s influences. For me it was clear that it was time to release my second album. It tells my story which you can experience with me on the floor when I perform.

My name is Ronny but you might know me as Ron Flatter. I was born in East Germany and grew up in Halle (Saale) the town of Georg Friedrich Händel. When I was a child my idol was Winnetou, because he was so strong. When I was 14 and got my first real kiss, I started with skateboarding. It was then when I realised that graffiti is much more better for me and decided to turn in to the music. Since then I have never regretted my decision.

One of my best gigs I played was at Fever in Bilbao (Spain). It was so much fun to see how the crowd went crazy.
One of the best gigs I have been to was Vitalic and Paul Kalkbrenner 12 years ago. I loved it because there was so much positive energy in the tent!

Now I live in Halle (Saale) with my girlfriend. In my house you can find coziness and my refrigerator is usually full with stuff i like. I enjoy time with my girl and my family and friends a lot. I can spend hours with the playstation and watching series. One of my favorite places to visit is Italy, because the history is amazing.
On weekdays I produce some hits and sometimes I prefer to do nothing. On weekends I usually travel and play my hits.
My favorite song at the moment is Rone – Everything (feat. Saul Williams). A film I watched lately and really liked was The Brothers Grimsby. I laughed almost to death. The last series I watched and loved was Modern Family.
I am very inspired by so many. My dream is to see even more places. My worst nightmare is a broken hard drive (again).
I love to see even more countries and hate unpunctuality.
I am addicted to coffee and more series, I just cannot stop to be curious.
I get totally fucked up, when I get my german sausage cold! The next day I need to try it again.
Local Suicide reminds me of these questions.

Tomorrow I play at Amboss Rampe (Zurich) with Marc Romboy. Next month I change my studio. Next year I hope I stay in the studio and travel a lot. In 10 years I hope to still be fit and healthy.

If I wasn’t a musician, I would be an archaeologist.
If my life was a Hollywood movie, Jack Black would have the main role, because he seems crazy and funny enough.
If I was a car, I would be a bulldozer. If I was an animal, I would be a dog. If I was a drug I would be amazing. If I was an invention, I would be dangerous. If I was an object, I would be a picture. If I could date myself, I‘d laugh at us.

If I could play with anyone it would be Rone. I would like to collaborate with somebody who understands me.
If I had only one wish, it would be a problem.
I would never stop laughing, because I can’t.

My word of advice to the reader would be to keep your name clean.
