End of November sees the long-awaited and much-anticipated sequel of Magnet Club‘s Indierap-Party – formerly know as „#Jamb*****“ – which featured an exclusive concert of aspiring rapper JUSE JU and a guest appearance by celebrated MC FATONI aswell as a great night until the early morning hours at its’ premiere in early August. The party had to be renamed to „#EINTAGSLIEBE“ (transl.: One-Day-Love, a pun on the german word for dayfly, which is „Eintagsfliege“, and a song by german Rapper Marteria) after its’ initial name had to be taken down due to doubtful issues. However, the name has changed but the concept remains the same: DJs playing the best and most danceable of recent German indie rap-, „raop“- (a made-up word consisting of „rap“ and „pop“, coined by German indie rap-superstar Cro) and pop-tunes aswell as the best and latest of US-Hiphop. This time #EINTAGSLIEBE has invited Lübeck based female rapper PILZ, which prefers to keep her identity unknown and therefore performs with a sheepsmask. Her flow is oldschool (as are many of her lyrical references), her voice sounds hysteric and plangorous and her beats are aggressive yet rhytmical. Because of her identity refusal she caused a controverse discussion about her persona, her style and – sad enough – her gender: rap still is a male domain. And we love her like that.
DJs for the night will be LES FILLES NOIRES from the infamous Hamburg based Love Gang, as LENNOX, one half of Turbodisko3000 and part of the Eat Out Berlin-Squad, and Magnet’s in-house CRAZY B. & FRIENDZ, featuring members of Fryzeit and Klassenfahrt.
