Snow is here and so it is a new edition of Geradehaus at one of Berlin’s hottest localations Prince Charles. Having yet surpassed the 1-year mark, our favourite party makers are planning a big one for the first week of February. Like a Yeti, just descended from the latest British excursion into the Himalaya Mountains, Mark E will bring us a pretty decent dose of dope groove. The man, whose peacefully cooked productions gained him a well-deserved status as the King Of Slow Dancing, has been pushing things towards a shift of his signature sound. We’ve seen him evolve to a more mature sound, blending his craftsmanship with club rhythms and a new sense of darkness and drama.
New parallel projects -as his emotive Italo incarnation under the Project E moniker- and a steady presence in some of our favourite labels -Spectral Sound, Running Back- are here to prove Mark E’s current value as producer and selector.
Joining him we will have Berlin’s live debut of Palms Trax, a new talent who has raised the attention of all music connoisseurs with just a single record. Released under his own Lobster Theremin imprint, his first EP showcases a collection of Retro-not-Retro House jams where modern UK House meets a taste for melody echoing classics such as Legowelt or Larry Heard.
Backing up the whole operation we’ll have the pleasure to host the always-magnificent JMII, a very special closing set by Baughman (the man has been pulling out some Disco and Italo treasures of his collection and is ready to smoothly kick some asses with them) and those incombustible local legends that rock dance-floors under the Moon & Mann moniker.
We are giving away 2×2 guest list spots to the lucky ones from those who comment underneath the post!
