Cult advocate, leftfield musical mastermind and builder of extraordinary dreams, Don Wong has been influential with the circulation of underground crossovers to experiences across the region since 1999.

Better known as instigator of intricate sounds to unique party settings – the brainchild of now defunct KINEMAT is responsible for enlarging boundaries of inter-disciplinary urban cultures to shaping the Singapore’s underground music movement.

With over a decade of industry experience, from making his mark as a creative manipulator of innovative lifestyle experiments across cultural collaborations to social habitats of artistic and musical influences – Don, Works & Plays with his given space, time and environment.

Labeled “Singapore’s 10 most influential Men in Music” in 2008 – Don sits on the board of Heineken Music’s Sound Council, and was a selected nominee for 2005’s Young Entrepreneur Award which later led to the appointment The Singapore Fashion Festival ‘s Musical Director from 2006 under IMG & Pico Art.

Born at multicultural borders of Singapore, Don was bred in the essence of marketing with urban changes; inspired by a recycling movement of sub-cultural phenomenon.

First born into the art of aural synthesis as sound student in Melbourne Australia, he paved his spiritual passion by experimenting with sound modulations to the basis of hardware sequencing for human interaction.

Based in KL for the next 2 years, Don is currently working on re-editing pop arrangements & residents under one of KL’S sexiest multi-concept space – called Bedroom KL & spins at the cities grungiest Live Venue, Laundry plus monthly guest spots playing Nu Soul & Jazz @ Arthurs of Shangri-la Hotel
