Girls is comparted of a San Franciscan duo, of the bassist and producer J.R White and of Christopher Owen, who lets us know that they don’t like his bony body, they don’t like his dirty hair. Honey Bunny was written in 2009 on his birthday using his handy. It is a short, pop- surf-rock, retro track, all in one. As the frontman claims : “It’s a song about making a conscious decision not to give up on love or hope or happiness.”
Their album, “Father, Son, Holy Ghost” (True Panther Sounds) has a lot of 60s vintage influences and assimilates to the Beach Boys with gospel elements. And a little bit of gossip by White about the video : 'It was an obvious choice to have Christopher’s girlfriend be the co-star. Chris is not an actor, and including her was a conscious effort on my part to make him feel as comfortable as possible. I knew the video would depend tremendously on his performance to the camera.'
