Blood Pressures has come more than a month ago (4th of June on Domino Records), but we can’t get enough of it. Alison Mosshart, who does the vocals for the ‘Dead Weather’ too, is back together with her old pal and guitarist Jamie Hince.
The sound of their last album- 2008’s Midnight Bloom- impressed us at that time, and has evolved in a contrast of a romantic, melancholic one acoustic guitar thing, and brutal and rough, strong melodies, as Jamie explains. As a whole, we are confronted with a more minimalistic but yet complex sound, and an erotically loaded atmosphere is present in the record of this amazing duo.
In this short film, made by the brilliant Grammy awarded film makers called thirtytwo, the band explains certain stuff, for example how they came up and how hard they worked in that album etc., and there are live acoustic recordings of the following tracks : ‘Pots and Pans‘, ‘Baby Says‘ and ‘The Last Goodbye’.
