Stream: Beck – Defriended

This autumn two albums will be released by Beck  since his first 2008’s Modern Guilt. According to Rolling Stone, the “spaced-out electro ballad” presented here will be enclosed in none of two new albums that Beck has in the works.

One album is characterized as an acoustic record following the standards of 1994’s “One Foot in the Grave“, while the other is described more as the proper follow-up to “Modern Guilt“. Both albums will be released independently.

The track’s title sounds like someone has narrowed his friends list on Facebook and its synth electronic atmosphere with acoustic features and digitally altered vocals bring us Animal Collective to mind. Get high on it!
