“Air” are taking a trip over the moon and you are invited to join them! “Seven Stars” is taken from the soundtrack they made for the colored version of the 1902-french 16-minute silent film movie of Georges Méliès ‘La Voyage Dans La Lune’ (A Trip to the Moon). In the vocals they had Victoria Legrand of the band Beach House as a guest and the result is really atmospheric, with intense drumbeats.
The documentary was presented for the first time worldwide on November the 11th at New York City’s Museum of Modern Art. How could they conquer the whole scheme? Through a 10-year procedure, in which about a million dollars were spent, and with the help of high technology. “This is cinematic altruism at its best,” says Tom Burton, Director of Technicolor Restoration Services. “They did it for the art and for film heritage, not for a high-profit Blu-ray release..”. Respect!
