Luke Slater‘s label, Mote Evolver comes out with another installment of the Parallel Series, this time with Modularz Developer and Droid Behavior‘s Truncate aka Audio Injection. Both residing in the West coast of America, already have been getting so much attention and plays…not that I disagree.
Developer starts off this Ep with “Random Attractions” with a bang. Heavy kicks, organic and loops? Sign me up. “Drive themes” is also loopy but perfect for raving.
Now to Truncate. Really? He can’t do wrong. Is it skinny through me off at first because I can usually distinguish his tracks right off the bat, but you can still hear his style in this one. I liked that it’s stripped down like his much older tracks, “Jack” and “Concentrate”, which by the way, I still play, every single show. The vocal is also interesting that comes in right at the first kick; which isn’t the usual pitched down low spooky voice. That is not a complaint. Truncate keeps it light with this one with the perfect amount of shakers. Approve. Then, “Fourty Four“. This comes out and, yes. Truncate. Always has his crisp and sharp shakers and claps that I don’t believe I will ever get sick of. My ears want more. Do I really have to tell you to listen?
