The new album from young French Mondkopf impresses from the first listening and confirmes him as one of the wonders of French electro.
Two years after the sublime and captivating Galaxy of Nowhere, the sound of Rising Doom is more aggressive, more anxious, with sometimes light breakthroughs.
“Inspired by post-punk, black metal, and with the music of Aphex Twin and Autechre always in his head, the album displays an energy of force like no other. Merging sound and vision, he has also collaborated with multimedia design agency, Trafik, to conceive a Live show experience for both the ears and eyes; black and white tension immerses, igniting the sensation of rave parties, exorcism and a mystical experience. ” as he said on his biography .
Mondkopf’s ‘Day of Anger’ EP is released on 16 May, with his second album, ‘Rising Doom’ set for release in September.
